Velda Mae McCullough

A gathering of family and friends for Velda Mae McCullough, 78, of Virginia , will be Monday February 3, 2014 from 4-7pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Velda died Monday, January 20, 2014 at Guardian Angels in Hibbing , MN . Velda was born in Grand Rapids , MN and following her schooling, she married Delmar McCullough. They lived in Aurora and raised a family there. Velda was a housewife and devoted mother to four children: Dennis, Dale, Darrell and Rhoda. For over the past 25 years she resided in Virginia . Velda enjoyed knitting, reading, playing BINGO and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Darrell McCullough; daughter, Rhoda McCullough; sisters: Elsie Buscher and Helen Card; daughter-in-law, Dottie McCullough; grandchildren: Sonda (Trevor) Hinsz, Shaun, Aaron, Lindsay (Seth), and Stacie McCullough and Andrea (Gabe) Kaurala; great grandchildren: Samantha, Austin, Rebecca, Mariah, Eva, Dani, Alexyiah, Ariyanna, Nevaeh, Gabe and Kiara. She is preceded in death by her husband, Delmar; sons: Dennis and Dale; grandson, Justin. Velda will be dearly missed by all of her friends and family.
