Everett H. Gary

A memorial service for Everett Herman Gary, 91, of Babbitt, formerly of Aurora, will be held in Aurora, MN at a later date.  Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. He died Thursday March 13, 2014 at Ely Bloomenson Hospital in Ely, MN.   Everett was born October 19, 1922 in Adel, Iowa to Clyde and Geraldine (Keller) Gary.  He was a graduate of Rolf High School and later served with the US Army during WWII for three years.   On July 8, 1944 he married Patricia Gilliland.  They farmed for one year and in 1947 moved to Aurora.  There, he worked construction and as a heavy equipment operator until 1957.  He retired from Erie Mining Company in March 1985.   Everett was a member of First Baptist Church in Aurora, the Aurora American Legion Post #241 and the Hoyt Lakes VFW Post #8144.   Survivors include his daughter, Megan (Dennis) Walsh of Parkman, ME , granddaughter  Jessica Gary of Duluth, three step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren, two brothers Robert and Harold Wingerson,  and many nieces and nephews.   He is preceded in death by his parents;  his wife Patricia, son Michael, parents and several siblings.
