Dennis E. Klaboe

Memorial service for Dennis Earl Klaboe, 73, of Gilbert, will be 11am Friday, April 25, 2014 at United In Christ Lutheran Church in Eveleth, with Pastor Joel Rova-Hegener officiating.  Friends may gather one hour prior to the service.  Inurnment will be in the Gilbert Cemetery.  Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert.   Dennis died Friday, April 18, 2014 at Essentia Health in Virginia, MN.   He was born March 14, 1941 in Crookston, MN to Arthur and Myrtle (Olson) Klaboe.  Dennis was a graduate of Audubon High School and later attended Detroit Lakes Business College.  Most of his career was spent working in the banking industry. More recently, he worked for Lundgren Motors as business manager and in maintenance at the Thunderbird Mall in Virginia.   On October 12, 1963 he married Wanda Berg in Rollag, MN.  In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and more recently enjoyed collecting electric trains.  Dennis was a member of United In Christ Lutheran Church and the Eveleth Lions Club.   Survivors include his wife, Wanda; daughter, Robyn (Joe Hocking) Klaboe of Ashland, WI; granddaughter, Emma Stephens; brothers and sisters-in-law: Bonnie (Gary) Friese, Curtis (Ardelle) Berg and Jack (Sandy) Berg; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.   He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Myrtle, and his father and mother-in-law, Gotfred and Gladys Berg.
