Ella Moren

Funeral Mass for Ella Angela Moren, 102, of Maplewood, formerly of Gilbert will be 11 am Saturday, May 3, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Charles Flynn Celebrating.  A visitation will be 5-7 pm Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert and continues one hour prior to Mass at the church.  Interment will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Ella Angela Moren longtime resident of Gilbert, MN passed away peacefully on April 27th at 5 AM at the age of 102, at Maplewood Care Center, Maplewood, MN. Heaven needed another angel, and Ella was called to fill an angelic position. Ella was born to Alojzij and Franciska (Yaklic) Kosir on March 11, 1912 in Dolnje Podpoljane (currently Slovenia, formerly Yugoslavia). Ella immigrated to the United States in 1938, and resided in Gilbert, MN. She married Frank Moren in 1939. They had one son, Thomas. Ella was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. Survived by son Thomas (Becky) Moren of White Bear Lake, MN Precious grandmother to six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; Four brothers, Ludvik, John, Peter, Frank and one sister Maria. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Frank, twin brother Joseph, brother Stanley, brother Louis, brother Vinko, and grandson Dan. May she rest in peace.
