Funeral Mass for Lillian A. Mourin, 91, of Virginia, formerly of Aurora, will be 10am Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Charles Flynn as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home. Lillian passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Essentia Health - Virginia following a brief hospitalization. Lillian was born at home in the Village of Franklin, Virginia, MN, on March 30, 1923 to Frank and Anna (Jegloski) Kishel. She was a 1941 graduate of Virginia High School. She was employed by JC Penney Company and W.A. Fisher Printing Company. On July 8, 1947 she was united in marriage to Charles F. Mourin at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Virginia. Lillian's hobbies included league bowling, spending time outdoors tending to her flower and vegetable gardens and maintaining her yard. She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat and visiting with friends and relatives. Lillian was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Biwabik and the Aurora "Walkie-Talkies". Lil was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, baking and sewing. She also took great pleasure in knitting and crocheting sweaters, hats and afghans for her children and grandchildren. "Grammie" Lil relished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Michael (Ginny) Mourin of Gilbert and Nancy (Rick) Colvin of White Bear Lake, MN; grandchildren: Melissa (Aaron) Whitney, Devin (Emily) Colvin, Brady Colvin, Caitlin Colvin and Kyle Colvin; great grandchildren: Porter Colvin and Kaiden Whitney; brother-in-law, William E. Mourin; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles in 1988; brothers and sisters-in-law: Edward and Rose Kishel and Chester and Irene Kishel. Lillian's family would like to thank the staff of Chestnut Grove Assisted Living for the excellent care and compassion that was given to her during the past year.
