Memorial service for Signe Morrison, 93, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 10:30am Friday, August 1, 2014 at Faith Lutheran Church in Hoyt Lakes with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Friends may gather at the church one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Signe died Friday, July 25, 2014 at Northland Village in Hoyt Lakes. She was born November 19, 1920 in Duluth, Minnesota to Edward and Karen (Morken) Saltvick. Signe was a graduate of Denfeld High School and later worked for Woolworths and Oreck’s Clothing in Duluth. On October 11, 1940 she married Charles Morrison in Duluth. They made their home in Hoyt Lakes in January 1958. Signe was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church, the Hoyt Lakes Senior Citizens and AARP. She was proud to be one of the first two residents of Northland Village since it’s construction in May 2011. Signe is survived by her two daughters: Lynne Morrison of Duluth and Patricia (Bruce) Morrison-Lais of Apple Valley, MN; sisters: Elinor (Einar) Berg and Elaine (James) Johnson; son-in-law: Jerry Hansen; grandchildren: Tiffany, Cory, Zachary, Jordan, Jared and Alex; great grandchildren: James, Justin, Payton, Presley, Royce, Jaylynn, Kinsley, Kingston and London; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; son, Scott; daughter, Michele and a brother, Arthur.
