Dorothea O. Schubert

Funeral service for Dorothea O. "Dot" Schubert, 88, of Gilbert, will be 1:30pm Friday, August 15, 2014 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Pastor Brad Felix officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Dot died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Essentia Health - Virginia. She was born April 21, 1926 in Cloverton, MN to Abel and Alice Krouch. On July 29, 1951 she married James Schubert in Sandstone, MN. Dot was a homemaker who was dedicated to raising her family. Survivors include her children: Paula (Wade) Parker of Buffalo, Evelyn (Patrick) Johnson of Mound, Sally (Larry) Dagen of Gilbert and Mark (Kathleen) Schubert of Eveleth; grandchildren: Thomas Parker, Brienne Johnson, Eric and Ryan Anecki, Laurie and Bill Schubert; five great grandchildren; siblings: Gilbert (Alice) Krouch of Minneapolis, Ruth Anderson of Duluth, Vivian Swanson of Sandstone and Barbara Toyama of Yuma, AZ; several nieces and nephews. Dot was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James and a twin sister, Maxine Todd.
