Memorial service for Betty Engstrom, 82, of Aurora, will be 10:30am Friday Sept. 12, 2014 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Aurora with Pastor Brendan Johnston officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora, MN. Betty died Friday Sept. 5, 2014 at Northern Pines Medical Center following a long, courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. She was born May 7, 1932 in Wisconsin where she graduated from high school. While raising her family, she also accomplished obtaining her LPN license at the age of 39. She worked at Memorial Hospital, White Community Hospital, Arrowhead Health Care Center and Gentiva Health Care. She retired from nursing in 2001. She was an active volunteer at the Aurora Food Shelf for 20 years and a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church. Betty enjoyed gardening, crocheting, traveling, garage sales and music. She is survived by her three loving daughters, Sheryl (Bill) Chose of Walker, MN, Cindy (Tim) Settimi of Hoyt Lakes, and Roberta Anders of Westlake Village, CA; three grandchildren: Daniel Settimi of Hoyt Lakes and Natalie and James Anders of Westlake Village, CA; siblings: Helen Kosin, Art Larson, Charles (Marilyn) Gjovig. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bud Engstrom and an infant daughter, Rhonda Johnson and sister, Helen Cockerham.
