Randall W. Rantala

A private family graveside service for Randall “Randy” W. Rantala, 53, of Palo, will be held Tuesday at Rauha Cemetery in White Township with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Randall died Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. He was born April 6, 1961 in Virginia, MN to Wilbert and Ruth (Maki) Rantala. Following his schooling, he worked in various capacities at several businesses on the Iron Range and in Duluth. Randy was an avid car collector and auto enthusiast. Survivors include his mother, Ruth Rantala Lauder; siblings: Tom (Marge) Rantala, Richard (Lori) Rantala, Steven (LeAnna) Rantala, Jerry Rantala and Patti (Mike) Schmitz; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Wilbert and sister-in-law, Pam.
