Funeral Mass for Vincenza “Nonna” Malich, 90, a longtime Eveleth resident, will be 10:00am Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth, MN with Fr. Charles Flynn as celebrant. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert and will continue for one hour prior to the mass at church on Tuesday. Burial will be in the Eveleth Cemetery. Mrs. Malich died Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Willow Wood Assisted Living in Eveleth, MN. She was born January 8, 1924 in Sardania, Italy to Gaetano and Antonietta (Fischetti) Borrielli. On August 15, 1945 she married Bruno Malich in Taranto, Italy. In 1951 the family immigrated to the United States and settled in Eveleth. Nonna worked as a seamstress for the Cluett Peabody Shirt Factory in Eveleth for many years. Nonna was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, sewing hand made clothing and playing cards with friends. She especially enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren. Nonna was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. Survivors include her children: Anna Roberts of Eveleth, Gaetano Malich of Kansas City, KS, Antonietta (Warner) Myntti of Reed City, MI and Frank Malich of Gilbert; 25 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; brother, Joseph Borrielli of Colton, CA, sister, Doratea Patane of Tatanto, Italy; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruno; granddaughter, Deeann Rahn; daughter-in-law, Donna Malich and a sister-in-law, Donna Borrielli.
