Funeral Mass for Evelyn Ann (Bauer) Swentik, 84, of Aurora, will be 10am Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Steven Daigle as celebrant. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-7:00pm, with recitation of the rosary at 5:30pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Visitation will also continue for one hour prior to the mass at church on Saturday. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Evelyn passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora, on her 64th wedding anniversary to her loving husband, Leonard Swentik, who were married November 4, 1950. Evelyn spent many years as a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and held several offices, including Deputy Grand Reagent. She was also a member of the Aurora American Legion Auxiliary and the Hoyt Lakes VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, Leonard; nine children: Steven (Deborah) Swentik, Kenneth (Nancy) Swentik, Barbara Lyons, Dorothy (Tim) DeReu, Thomas Swentik, Darrell Swentik, Donald Swentik, Leonard Swentik Jr. and Phyllis Swentik; grandchildren: Michael, Jennifer, Gyle, Bonnie, Ryan, Miranda, Andrew and Wyatt; several step-grandchildren and many great grandchildren; sisters: Sue Olah, Anna Mae Loegering and Dorothy Schmidt; brother, Stephen (Arline) Bauer Jr.; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Barbara (Deutch) Bauer; sons: Brian and Mark Swentik; son-in-law, Charles Lyons; brothers: Leonard, Eddy, Matt and Theodore Bauer; sisters: Betty Marson and Marie Ryan.
