Velina Recore

Graveside service for Velina V. Recore, 93, of Hoyt Lakes will be 10:30 am Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Velina died Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Northland Village Assisted Living Facility in Hoyt Lakes. Velina was born on May 10, 1921 to George and Mildred (Johnson) Roberts in Chetek, WI. She was united in marriage to Wallace Recore in 1938. The couple lived in Ladysmith, WI until moving to Hoyt Lakes in 1957. Velina was employed by the Hoyt Lakes Hospital and later the Virginia Regional Medical Center. Survivors include six children: Barbara, Bonnie, Gene, Richard, Jannett, and Debra; twenty-one grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace; a sister, Harriet; three brothers, Marshall, Clifford, and Edward; and her parents.
