Leroy Chase

A gathering of family and friends for Leroy Orville Chase, 87, formerly of Palo will be held from 3-5 pm Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Military honors will be accorded by the Aurora – Hoyt Lakes Color Guard. Leroy died Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the St. Michael’s Health and Rehabilitation Center in Virginia. He was born on October 21, 1927 to Mark and Tina (Venaas) Chase in Duluth. Leroy served in the Merchant Marines during WWII. On September 8, 1984 he married Vivian Ludden Smith in Duluth and was employed by Superwood Inc. in Duluth. Survivors include his wife Vivian; five step-children and their families; and a sister, Geraldine Maher of Fremont, CA. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Chase; brother, Jerry Chase; and his parents.
