Funeral Mass for Paulette Marie Nehl, 92, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 10am Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Hoyt Lakes with Fr. Steven Daigle as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. She died Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora, MN. Paulette was born March 17, 1922 in Oran, Algeria to Edgar and Pauline (Guillou) Lambert. She attended school and graduated in 1940. Paulette worked as a secretary in a tax office. She married Joseph F. Nehl on October 1, 1945 in Oran, Algeria. She came to Minnesota in 1946 and has been a Hoyt Lakes resident since July 1957. Paulette enjoyed traveling to France and California visiting family and friends. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother. Survivors include her son, James (Michelle Metzer) Nehl of Hoyt Lakes; daughter, Paulette (Brian) Rogan of Walnut Creek, CA; four grandchildren: Amanda and Brianna Rogan and Roderick and Joseph Nehl; three great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Samme Nehl; sister, Suzanne Aniorte of Toulouse, France; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Joseph R. Nehl in 1970 in Vietnam; husband, Joseph F. in 1977 and son, Richard F. in 2002.
