Memorial service for Angela Milanovich, 95, of Gilbert will be 11 am Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Fr. Frank Perkovich officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Angela died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Essentia Health Virginia Care Center. She was born on July 24, 1919 to Joseph and Mary (Mrosevich) Milanovich in Gilbert. She grew up and attended school in Gilbert, graduating from the Gilbert High School, Class of 1937. During WWII, Angela spent time working in the defense industry in Cleveland, OH. Upon returning to Gilbert, she was employed as a supervisor at the Cluett Peabody Arrow Shirt Factory in Gilbert retiring after 31 years of service. Angela was instrumental in the planning of her class’ 50th Class reunion as well as past Gilbert all class reunions. She was a member of the St. Basil Serbian Orthodox Church in Chisholm and the Gilbert Sr. Citizen’s Club. Angela will be remembered for her enjoyment of life and having a song in her heart. She is survived by her nieces and nephews of whom she was very proud: Darlene (Peter) Staudohar, Ronald Kosteliz, Richard (Margaret) Kosteliz, Carol (Vernon) Emerson, Georgiana Ruzich, Mary Jane (Louis) Paciotti, Francine York, James Milanovich, Mary Milanovich, Margie (George) Crothers, Patty Foschi, Debra (Floyd) Larson, Janice (David) Swanson; several great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Zora Kosteliz, Bella Ruzich, and Sophie Yerich; two brothers, William and Vladmir Milanovich; nephew, Rudy Milanovich; two nieces, Deanne Sassani and Jolene Chilcote; three great nieces, Mary Beth Paciotti, Tracy Crothers, and Carrie Ann Saari; and her parents.
