Mass of Christian Burial for Julie Ann Bartol, 82, of Aurora will be 10 am Monday, February 23, 2015 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora with Fr. Steven Daigle Celebrating. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Julie died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at Essentia Health – St. Mary’s in Duluth. Julie was born on November 27, 1932 to John and Mary (Gornik) Bartol in Aurora. She grew up and attended school in Aurora, graduating from the Aurora High School. Following school, Julie worked for the Cluett Peabody Shirt Factory in Gilbert before moving to Milwaukee, WI where she worked as a secretary for the Milwaukee Public School, until her retirement. Julie moved back to Aurora following her retirement. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora where she sang in the choir. Julie was proud of the fact she was born and raised a Catholic. Julie coordinated and helped design the statue honoring the immigrants that graces the front entry to the Aurora Sr. Citizen’s Center. Julie was a talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing. Julie loved her family and will be dearly missed. Survivors include three siblings: Jenny Holle of Oconomowoc, WI, Helen Marciniak of Aurora, and Thomas (Mary Ann) Bartol of Aurora; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Bartol; four siblings, Mae Perushek, Anthony Zabukovich, Frank Bartol, and Henry Bartol.
