Mark Weiberg

Memorial service for Mark August Weiberg, 67, of Markham will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 17, 2015 at the Colvin Township Hall in Markham. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in the Markham Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home of Gilbert. Mark went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at his home in Markham surrounded by his family. Mark was born on October 10, 1947 to Arvo and Virginia (Tuomala) Weiberg in Biwabik. He was raised in the community of Markham, where his family owned and operated Weiberg’s Store on the Whiteface Reservoir. Besides owning the store, Mark also worked in the logging industry his entire life. In his spare time Mark enjoyed attending auctions, visiting with friends and working on equipment. He will be remembered for his generosity and sincere care of his customers and family alike. Survivors include his three children: Daniel (Rika) Weiberg of Superior, WI, Tricia (Roger) Harsila of Virginia, and Ryan (Carrie) Weiberg of Markham; six grandchildren: Ethan and Chloe Weiberg, Kaari and Wade Harsila, and Davin and Brett Patterson; a brother: Randy (Debbie) Weiberg of Lakeland; a sister: Dionne Cotant of Hoyt Lakes; sister-in-law: Lydia Weiberg of Amery, WI; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Arvo and Virginia; brother: John; and nephew: Dennis Weiberg. Mark’s children would like to invite those who knew and loved Mark to join them in saying farewell and sharing their stories and memories of Mark, the store, logging, and his many adventures.
