Wallace G. Nelson, 91, of Hoyt Lakes, died April 8, 2015 at Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora. He was born August 19, 1923 in Cormant Township to Nels and Minnie Nelson. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corp, served in World War II and was employed as a beekeeper for many years. He enjoyed being a rock hound, fishing, gardening, woodworking and the Black Hills of South Dakota. He was a Charter member of Cormant Community Church and attended the Biwabik Evangelical Covenant Church. Wallace is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Willard and Lorenz Nelson and a daughter in infancy. He is survived by his daughter, Minnie (Ken) Klemmack, son, Floyd (Sharon) Nelson; grandchildren: Gina Andrews, Jeff Klemmack, Joel and Carissa Nelson; great grandchildren: Zach and Derek Andrews; sisters-in-law: Irene and Doris Nelson and his nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2pm June 20 at Capernum Cemetery in Quiring, MN.
