Margaret Scheunemann

Funeral service for Margaret A. Scheunemann, 89, of Aurora will be 11 am Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the United Methodist Church in Aurora with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Wednesday at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora at a later date. Margaret died Sunday, July 19, 2015 at the Essentia Health-Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora. She was born on September 8, 1925 to Henry and Mary (Tromboli) Wander in Spring Hill, MN. She attended school in Melrose, MN. Margaret was united in marriage on June 1, 1946 to Melvin Scheunemann. In 1965 the couple moved to Aurora. Margaret took pride in the care she took of her home and family. She was employed as a custodian and worked Bingo concession for the Aurora Moose Lodge for eight years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Aurora, the Aurora American Legion Auxiliary, and the former Aurora Women of the Moose Lodge. She is survived by three sons: Doane (Malinda) Scheunemann of Aurora, Dennis (Eileen) Scheunemann of Hutchinson, MN, and Bradley (Lynn) Scheunemann of Post Falls, ID; one daughter: Sandra (Alvis) Wilson of Henderson, TX; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Alquin Wander of Leesville, LA and Henry Wander Jr. of Coon Rapids, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; brothers: Virgil and Bonifus Wander; sisters: Loretta Kloeppner, Marcella Nelson, Evelyn Notch, and Rosalyn Jonas; and her parents.
