Funeral service for Jackson Fiedler Lesar, 25, of Virginia, will be 2 pm Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Hope Community Presbyterian Church in Virginia with Pastors Mary Pol and Frank Davis officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Refreshments will be served in the church fellowship hall following the service. Graveside service will be 11 am Saturday November 7, 2015 in Cavalier Cemetery in Cavalier, ND with Pastor John Werth officiating. Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Jackson died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. Jackson was born June 20, 1990 in Duluth, MN to William and Mary Maxine Fiedler Lesar. He graduated from Virginia High School in 2009 and was an active participant in the high school downhill ski team. Later, he attended Mesabi Community College, earning an Associate’s Degree. Jackson was a very devoted and active member of Hope Community Presbyterian Church. He was also active in 4H. Jackson attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He had the opportunity to attend the National Jamboree in 2005 and the World Jamboree in England in 2007. Jackson was also an avid reader who took an interest in history and archaeology. Survivors include his father, Bill, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, a great aunt and a great uncle. He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Maxine Fiedler Lesar on May 16, 2014, and his grandparents.
