Funeral service for Rhonda Joy Henry, 53, of Aurora, will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church in Hoyt Lakes with Pastor Barbara Hegfors officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Rhonda died Saturday, December 12, 2015 surrounded by family at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN. She was born April 13, 1962 in Aurora, MN to Wallace “Bud” and Grace (Elj) Whitman. Rhonda was a graduate of Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School and later graduated from Hibbing Vo-Tech as a dental assistant. Rhonda began her career at Gilbert Dental and later worked for Dr. Stark in Biwabik and Dr. Schuldt in Virginia. On March 12, 1994 she married Scott Henry in Hoyt Lakes. Rhonda loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and enjoyed camping and tending to her rose gardens. She was also an avid card player and was always willing to tackle the most difficult jigsaw puzzles. Survivors include her husband, Scott; children: Jason (Natalie) Carpenter of Golden Valley, Eric (Tessa) Carpenter of Owatonna and Amanda (Matt) Rollins of Waseca; grandchildren: Logan and Gunner; mother, Grace Whitman of Hoyt Lakes; sisters: Peggy (Kurt) Fallos of Nashwauk and Lori (Steve) Drasler of Aurora; mother-in-law, Cecilia Henry of Hoyt Lakes; several nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Bud, and her father-in-law, Gene Henry
