Mass of Christian Burial for Lucille Ann Skofich, 83, of Aurora will be 10 am Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth with Fr. Charles Flynn Celebrating. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday with a Rosary service at 6:30 pm at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Visitation will continue one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment will be in the Eveleth Cemetery. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. Lucille died Friday, February 5, 2016 at her home in Aurora. She was born on July 11, 1932 to John and Mande (Pozega) Wudinich, Sr. in Eveleth. She graduated from the Eveleth High School, Class of 1950. Following school, she worked at the Cluett Peabody Shirt Factory as a seamstress. She was united in marriage to Albert Skofich, Sr. in 1951 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Eveleth. The couple moved to Aurora in 1957, where they built their home and raised three children. She was an active member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Aurora and the Aurora Women’s Auxiliary. Lucille enjoyed quilting, crafting, crossword puzzles, and playing cards. Her greatest pleasure was visits from her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her sons: Daniel Skofich of Aurora and Albert (Gina) Skofich, Jr. of Somonauk, IL; one daughter: Corinne Logan of Eagan; grandchildren: Amanda (Jason) Mitchell of TN, Anna (Jacob) Holm of Savage, MN and Mary Logan of Eagan; step-grandchildren: Jonathan, Randi, and Nicholas; multiple great-grandchildren and many God-children; siblings: Rosie Jacobs of Inver Grove Heights, Frank (Beverly) Wudinich of Virginia, Patrick (Judy) Wudinich of Eveleth, and William Wudinich of Eveleth; sister-in-law: Florence Prebarich of Eveleth; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Skofich; grandson: James Skofich; son-in-law: Brian Logan; several sisters, brothers, and brothers and sisters-in-laws; and her parents.
