Memorial service for Frances Curry, 75, of Biwabik will be 1 pm Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Faith Assembly of God in Aurora with Pastor Derrick DeTurk officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Tuesday at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Frances died Friday, March 18, 2016 at her home. She was born August 29, 1940 to Frank and Charlotte (Bruno) Powell in St. Paul, MN. Frances grew up on a fishing resort her family owned and operated on Saganaga Lake, Ontario. At the age of seventeen, Frances married Edward Schultz and the couple had four children. Later on, Frances was united in marriage to Arden Curry on March 22, 1971 in Webster, SD. Frances took great pride in her caring for her home and her family. She enjoyed gardening and her greenhouse, raising chickens, reading, especially cookbooks, knitting, crocheting, her many pets, and birdwatching. The past eighteen years, Frances devoted her life to her grandson, Gabe; attending all his school and sports functions. Survivors include her husband of 45 years: Arden; eleven children: Ken (Marilyn) Curry of Eveleth, Cheryl (Gene) Dunn of Iron, Frank Curry of Eveleth, Frank (Pam) Schultz of Biwabik, Laura Denny of Eveleth, Lois Silda of Britt, Karen (Tim) Smith of Evansville, WY, Ray Schultz of Caspar, WY, Richard Curry of Virginia, Ross and Jeanette Curry, both of Biwabik; sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister: Florence Monteith of Nipigon, Ontario; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth “Scamp” Aspie; a brother, Frank “Joe” Powell; her parents; and her first husband, Edward.
