Funeral Mass for Marie Therese Kodunce, 86, of Gilbert, will be 10:30am Monday, May 16, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gilbert with Fr. Charles Flynn as celebrant. Visitation will be 5-7pm Sunday at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert and will continue for one hour prior to the Mass at church on Monday. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Marie died peacefully surrounded by family at her home on Wednesday, May 11, 2016. She was born April 21, 1930 in Biwabik, MN to Torindo and Mary (Schuster) Nanti. Marie was a 1948 graduate of Gilbert High School. She worked for Lake Mining Company in Biwabik and Cluett Peabody Shirt Factory. On November 20, 1950 she married John Bradach in Gilbert. Marie continued working clerical in the mining industry following her marriage. Following her husband John’s untimely death, she later married John Kodunce on October 18, 1965. Marie was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, was a Girl Scout leader and Meals-on-Wheels volunteer. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, gardening, sewing, and time at the lake; but especially cherished time spent with family and friends. Survivors include her children: James (Nancy) Bradach of Cherry, Shelley (William) Kern of Hibbing, Lynn (Michael) Bol of Gilbert and Janet (Gregg) Olson of Prior Lake; eight grandchildren: Guyott Bradach, Jamie (Rob) Focht, Matthew and John Kern, and Ryan, Jordan, Alex and Lydia Olson; sisters: Maxine Radke of Ormond Beach, FL, Anne (George) Potts of Twain Harte, CA, Connie (Thomas) McGraw of Pequot Lakes and Patricia (William) Jofs of Aurora; brother, Robert Nanti of Gilbert; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Torindo and Mary; husbands, John Bradach and John Kodunce; step-mother, Helen Nanti.
