Georgia Loe

Private family services for Georgia Mae Loe, 80, of Lake Vermilion-Tower, will be held at a later date. Georgia died suddenly Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Cook Community Hospital in Cook, MN. Georgia was born October 1, 1935 in Longmont, CO to Clement and Genevieve (Oard) Smith. She was a graduate of Fulda High School and later married Terry Loe on May 12, 1955 in Fulda. In 1955 the couple moved to Aurora where they raised their family. In their retirement years, they moved to Lake Vermilion where she resided until the time of her death. Georgia enjoyed time spent at the lake cooking, baking and took pleasure in time with her family. She is survived by her children: Brad (Cindy) Loe of Aurora, Renee (Bob) Marconett of Canyon and Stacie Loe of Hibbing; grandchildren: Nathan (Laure Benjamin) Miller, Ashley (Nick Petrich) Loe and Alex (Marissa Thomas) Loe; great granddaughter, Aubree; sisters: Carolyn Stapleton and Margie (Art) Hanson; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Terry and her siblings, Mary Alice and Owen.
