Lawrence Chlebowski

Funeral service for Lawrence Anthony Chlebowski, 80, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 1pm Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Fr. Steven Daigle officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Lawrence died Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Northern Pines Medical Center in Aurora, MN. He was born February 9, 1936 in Ramsey, Michigan to Louis and Carmen (Bonello) Chlebowski. Lawrence graduated from Bessemer High School and later enlisted with the US Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. On September 17, 1960 he married Patricia Langa in Wakefield, Michigan. Lawrence worked for Erie Mining Company for many years in the maintenance department. He retired from LTV Steel in 1996. Lawrence was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed cross country skiing, feeding the birds and just being out in the woods. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patricia; son, Paul Chlebowski of Ironwood, Mich; daughter, Debra (Jim) Kaelke of Raymond, MN; brother, Glen Chlebowski of Ironwood; brother and sister-in-law, Roger (Joann) Langa of Bessemer; two nieces; one nephew. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Clem and two nephews, Jeff and Chad.
