Funeral Mass for Luella Agnes Grembowski, 91, of Aurora, will be 10:30am Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic church in Aurora with Fr. Peter Lambert as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Florian Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery in Florian, MN. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. She died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth, MN. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff for the excellent care given to their mother. Luella was born February 12, 1925 to Brunes and Sophie (Gajeski) Borowicz in Wright Township, Marshall County, Minnesota. She attended school in Wright Township and worked on the family farm. On October 24, 1944 she married Edward Grembowski in Florian, MN. The couple continued to farm and in 1954 moved to the Iron Range. Here, she worked for the Cluett Peabody Shirt Factory in Eveleth and was a homemaker. Luella was a fine cook and a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was an active member of Holy Rosary Parish and its Council of Catholic Women. She and her husband enjoyed gardening, canning and sausage making. Survivors include her children: Adele Diehl of Tucson, AZ, Marlene (David) Witucki of Robbinsdale, Susan Johnson of Aurora, Donna (David) Hull of Hudson, WI, Gene (Sandy) Grembowski of Duluth and Roger (LuAnn) Grembowski of Brooklyn Park; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Luella is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; daughters: Bernadette and Louise; grandson, Alex; sisters: Rose and Antoinette; son-in-law, Sylvester Diehl.
