Memorial service for Linda Fae Sausman, 64, of Gilbert will be 4 pm Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Rev. Jerry Kosanovich officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Linda died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth surrounded by loving family. She was born on August 26, 1952 to Verline and Viva (Stanhope) Roderick in Willamina, OR. Linda grew up in a military family having moved all over the continental US. Immediately following her schooling, Linda was united marriage to LeRoy Sausman on October 18, 1969 in Superior, WI. The couple moved to Oregon and returned to Minnesota where the couple started their family. Linda was a proud mother and homemaker. She had volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for ten years and was the first female Little League baseball Coach in Gilbert. Linda held many jobs over the years including Montgomery Ward, Pamida, Gilbert School District, and the ICO. She also ran several of her own businesses including Lynn’s Upholstery, Lynn’s Ceramics, and most recently Time to Wine in Gilbert. Survivors include her husband of 47 years: LeRoy; two children: Robert (Renee) Sausman of Navarre, FL and Tammy (Brian) Klomps of Eveleth; seven grandchildren: Brooke Sausman, Stephanie Canterbury, BreAnna “Baby Doll” Sausman, Joshua Sausman, Robyn Steele, Emma Sausman, and Tristin “Baby Girl” Klomps; her father: Verline Roderick; two sisters: Deonna Briggs of Twin Cities and Patty (Henry) Affolter of Otis, OR; three stepsiblings; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Viva; and an infant brother.
