Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret “Mark” L. Feldt, 91, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 10am Monday, March 6, 2017 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Hoyt Lakes with Fr. Peter Lambert as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5pm with recitation of the rosary at 4:30pm and will continue for one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be at a later date in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Park, KS. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Margaret died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Fairview Mesabi Hospital in Hibbing, MN. She was born February 27, 1926 in Trego County, Kansas to Ike and Emma Stithem. She attended college at Hays, Kansas where she earned her teaching certificate. Margaret taught multiple grades for a short time in a one room school house. On April 16, 1953 she married Peter Feldt in WaKeeney, Kansas. The couple farmed until 1956 when they moved to Virginia. In 1957 they moved to Hoyt Lakes. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and faith. Margaret was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church where she taught catechism and first communion for many years and was a member of its Council of Catholic Women. She served as a Den Mother of the Cub Scouts many years and volunteered at the local nursing home where she recited the rosary with the residents. She was also a member of the Hoyt Lakes VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include her children: Marla (Bruce Riddle) Schack of Hoyt Lakes, Larry (Laureen) Feldt of Long Prairie and Ronald (Patty) Feldt of Aurora; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Ray (Bernice) Stithem of WaKeeney, KS; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Peter ; daughter, Linda; son, Kevin; sisters: Helen (Rudy) Balluch and Ruth (Clyde) Nierenberger; son-in-law, Michael Schack.
