Memorial service for Barry Ray Johnson, 63, of Aurora will be 1 pm Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with John Jacquart officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Barry died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Essentia Health-Northern Pines in Aurora. He was born on February 25, 1954 to Lawrence and Theodora Johnson. He grew up and attended school at the Loon Lake Community Center in Palo and graduated from the Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School. Following high school Barry was married to Renee Cline to whom he was married to for twenty three years. Barry had been employed for Erie Mining Company and later LTV for nearly twenty nine years until the company closed. Barry enjoyed many hobbies including being a hobby pilot, scuba diving, motorcycling, music, traveling, and being a coffee connoisseur. Barry was a true handyman having had the ability and skills to complete many wide variety of projects. Barry took the most pleasure in spending time with his family and friends. He held his brothers and sisters close to his heart, and still there was overflowing love and concern for his many dearest friends. Survivors include his twin son and daughter: Shawn (Kristina) Johnson of Maple Grove, MN and Sharon (Daniel) Grippe of Princeton, MN; four grandchildren: Zachary and Noah Johnson of Maple Grove and Danielle and Katie Grippe of Princeton; four brothers: Bob (Debbie), Stephen (Janice), Darrell and Paul Johnson; two sisters: Darlene (Russell) Kivi and Terry (Bill) Koeffler; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Alan, Kenneth, Richard, and Douglas Johnson; and his parents.
