Funeral service for Lois Ann Henry, 57, of Hoyt Lakes will be 10:30 am Monday, July 24, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church in Hoyt Lakes with Pastor Barb Hegfors officiating. A visitation will be held from 2-4 pm Sunday at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Lois died Monday, July 17, 2017 doing what she loved at Whiteface Reservoir Campground. She was born on May 6, 1960 to Marvin and Arlene Johnson in Virginia, MN. Lois attended Aurora-Hoyt Lakes High School, graduating from class of 1978. Following high school, Lois went to work for Erie Mining Company. She had many jobs throughout her life, including bartending for several years, bus and teacher’s aide, and CNA. On August 29, 1981 Lois was united in marriage to Mark Henry in Hoyt Lakes. Cooking was one of Lois’s passions which she shared with the community by cooking for Meals on Wheels and the Hoyt Lakes Ladies VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Hoyt Lakes Ladies VFW Auxiliary. Lois also enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, baking, and canning. She will be remembered as a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who was always giving of herself to others. Survivors include her husband of 35 years: Mark; two children: Mike (Leah) Henry of Aurora and Jen (James McNeill) Henry of Proctor; two grandchildren: Owen and Peyton Henry; her father: Marvin (Gloria) Johnson of Hoyt Lakes; two brothers: James (Linda Peterson) Johnson of Gilbert and Randy Johnson of Chisholm; nephew: Roger (Kali) Johnson of Hermantown; a step-sister: Denise (Nathan) Eide and their four children of Rochester; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Johnson; a brother, Ron Johnson; granddaughter: Elizabeth Henry; father-in-law, Gene Henry and sister-in-law, Rhonda Henry.
