Edward Miklousich

Funeral service for Edward Miklousich, 92, of Virginia will be 10:30 am Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Carolyn Pohjonen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Edward died Saturday, August 05, 2017 at his home, NHS-Northstar Specialized Services – Taurus. Eddie was born on April 4, 1925 to Angela (Indar) and John Mikloucish. He grew up and graduated from high school. He was a hard worker throughout his life, having worked at several jobs. Eddie was an avid fan of the Mesabi Range College Basketball Team, even having served as the team mascot for a while. In his younger years he enjoyed fishing. More recently, Eddie took great pleasure in bowling and watching Gunsmoke. He never missed an episode. Eddie thoroughly enjoyed amusement park rides, riding rollercoasters at Valleyfair well into his 80’s! Survivors include his brother: Joseph Mike of Iverness, FL; numerous nieces and nephews; and his extended family at NHS Northstar Specialized Services-Taurua including: Roberta Koivisto, Jane Uhan, Lois Martell and their caring staff. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Jenny, Ann, Mayme, John, and Toney.
