Funeral Mass for Patricia Ann “Patty” Tekautz, 70, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 10am Monday, August 14, 2017 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Hoyt Lakes with Fr. Peter Lambert as celebrant. Visitation will be 3-5pm Sunday at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora and also one hour prior to mass at the church on Monday. Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Patty died Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Essentia Health – Northern Pines in Aurora, MN. She was born February 4, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa to Frederick and Doris (Swalwell) Dockery. Patty was a 1965 graduate of Aurora High School and later married Paul Tekautz on June 19, 1965. Patty worked as a bartender for many years at the Aurora Moose Lodge and most recently at the Hoyt Lakes VFW Post. She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, the Aurora American Legion and the Timothy Robinson VFW Auxiliary where she served as secretary. She was active in women’s softball and the Hoyt Lakes Bowling leagues where she served as secretary and organized several tournaments. Survivors include: daughters: Michelle (Jim Nehl) Metzer and Robin (Mike) Flannery; grandchildren: Matthew Metzer, Jessa Metzer, Christopher Metzer, Kristina Metzer, Kristie Litchy, Lucas Litchy, Whittney Litchey, Mike White, Samantha Warren and Robbie Flannery; great grandchildren: Jayden, Brooklyn, Caius, Ryder, Brealyn, Maddie, Anthony, DeAndre, Marlee, Elsa and Lydia. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul, grandson, James Skofich, and son-in-law, Tony Metzer
