A private family memorial service for John Joseph Stupca, 88, of Gilbert, will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Mr. Stupca died Monday, October 30, 2017 at Miller-Dwan Hospital in Duluth, one day after his 88th birthday, surrounded by family. He was the youngest of thirteen siblings. John was born on October 29, 1929 in Gilbert and lived his entire life there. He served with the US Army in Japan during the Korean Conflict. He was self employed, worked various jobs and was employed his last 30 years as a bus driver and mechanic for the Gilbert Public School District. He was a devoted family man; his passion was traveling and camping with family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting. John is survived by his wife, Delores; sons: John “Jack” (Patty) of Arizona, Dale (Sandy) of Brainerd; daughter, Connie of Aurora; brother, Eddy; sisters: Pauline and Jenny; many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
