Memorial service for Karen Jean Leiviska, 69, of Ely, formerly of Aurora, will be 2pm Sunday, November 12, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church in Ely with Pastor Corey Larsen officiating. Friends may gather one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Virginia Humane Society or Contended Critters. Karen passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2017 at her home in Ely, MN. Survivors include her children: Tara (Kevin) Boerst of Ely, Adam Leiviska of Virginia and Jenny Leiviska of Purcell, OK; grandchildren: Anika, Derrick and Amanda; great grandchild, Bentley; siblings: Johnny (Gwen) Wudinich of Virginia and Laurie (Tom) Cundy of Eveleth; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents: John and Geraldine (Inman) Wudinich; husband, Raymond and her sister, Marilyn Purell.
