Judy A. Gervasio

A gathering of family and friends for Judy Ann Gervasio, 73, of Hoyt Lakes, will be from 1:00-3:00pm Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Judy died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, MN. She was born December 7, 1943 in Duluth, MN to Paul and Phyllis (Bartz) Isakson. Judy was a graduate of Enderlin High School in North Dakota and later married Robert Bockwitz on June 18, 1966. Judy worked a short time for Dr.’s McAllen and Rutz in Hallock, MN as a clerical assistant. She moved to Hoyt Lakes in 1983 and was a waitress and a homemaker. On October 16, 1991 she married John Gervasio. Judy was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, the Hoyt Lakes VFW Auxiliary and the Aurora American Legion Post Auxiliary. Survivors include her daughter, Deanna (Geoff) Swendseid of Stephen, MN; grandchildren: Brandee (Adam) Kuznia, Logan Swendseid, Hunter (Kat) Swendseid and Kennedy Swendseid; great grandchildren: Alexis, Gavin and Luke Kuznia; brother, John Isakson of Hoyt Lakes; sister-in-law, Shirley Isakson; brother-in-law, Howard E. Manning; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Phyllis; husband, John; sisters: Joan and Gail; brother, Donald; brother-in-law, Harry.
