Laurence M. Green

Laurence Martin Green, 68, of Aurora, died Friday, December 22, 2017 at his residence. A memorial gathering will take place at a later date. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Laurence was born April 26, 1949 in Cloquet, Minnesota to Martin and Evelyn (Davis) Green. He was a 1970 graduate of Cloquet High School and on June 27, 1970 married Judy Sims. Laurence served with the US Navy for 18 years during Vietnam. He worked at Pamida, T.G.M.Y, Newberrys & McCoy and at the Holiday Station in Aurora. He furthered his education and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. He worked At Chris Jensen Nursing Home, St. Raphael’s, Virginia Regional Medical Center and Northern Pines Medical Center. Most recently he served as gambling manager and custodian at the Aurora American Legion #241. Survivors include his wife, Judy; daughters: Patty Green and Maria Ann; grandchildren: Jonathan Green, Emily, Ashley and Sean Williams; sisters: Paula, Kelly and Kristi; and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn and sister, Mary.
