A visitation and gathering of family and friends of Jamison Todd Dixon, 47, of Virginia, will be 5-7pm Friday, January 12, 2018 at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Funeral services will be held next week in his home state of Indiana. He died Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth from complications of influenza. Jamison was born May 7, 1970 in Gary, Indiana to Spencer and Clara (Hubbard) Dixon. He was a 1988 graduate of Merrillville High School and later received his MBA degree in finance from Indiana University Northwest. He began working for US Steel and currently worked at MinnTac. He worked there as a FP&A Director (Controller) with 25 years of service in the steel industry. He married Christie McNeely on October 26, 2002 in Crown Point, Indiana. Jamison was an active parent in the Virginia Boys Youth Hockey program. He was a fisherman who enjoyed boating with his family. His family was of utmost importance to him and was a true “Daddy”. He was the best family man anyone could ask for and was liked by all. Survivors include his wife, Christie; daughter, Danielle of Crown Point, IN.; sons: Spencer and Braden at home; mother, Clara Dixon of Merrillville, IN.; siblings: Cabot “Eddie” (Ann) Dixon of Crown Point, IN and Denise (David) Gupton of Murray, KY; brother-in-law, Eric (Ashley) McNeely of Indianapolis, IN; several nieces and nephews also survive. He is preceded in death by his father, Spencer.
