Memorial service for Lorna Dee Boutin, 73, of Biwabik will be 11 am Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with Pastor John Szarke officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery, Biwabik. Lorna died Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. She was born on March 8, 1944 to Wilfred “Benny” and Eva (Gregorson) Boutin in Little Fork, MN. Lorna graduated from the Little Fork High School, Class of 1962. Following graduation, Lorna moved to Virginia and worked at a shirt factory. Lorna moved to Biwabik where she was a devoted homemaker and mother, having raised four children. She worked as a waitress at numerous restaurants and was also a housekeeper. She enjoyed baking, sewing, and especially spending time with her children and very special grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by many. Survivors include her daughters: Kim (Todd) Berg, Kris (Tom) Ribich, Kari (Chris Stupca) Karish; grandchildren: Brianna, Austin, Aubri, Anna and Jack; three sisters: Aleta Nybakke, Marcia (Howard) Krull, and Phyllis (Brad) Campbell; a sister-in-law: Kathy Boutin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael; brother, Butch; a special friend, Cathy; her former husband and friend, Jim Karish; and her parents.
