Memorial Mass for James A. Sadar, 80, of Virginia, will be 10am Friday, February 16, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Virginia with Fr. Brandon Moravitz as celebrant. There will be no visitation prior to the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Spring inurnment will be in the Eveleth Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. James died Sunday February 11, 2018 at Essentia Health – St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. James was born September 20, 1937 in Eveleth, MN to Tony and Veronica (Koebensky) Sadar. He was a 1955 graduate of Virginia High School and later began working for Mesabi Daily News. He served with the National Guard and later married Ann Marie Andreachi on June 24, 1961 in Eveleth. James worked as a printer for the Mesabi Daily News with 43 years of service. He was an active member of Holy Spirit Parish and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, cross country skiing and golfing. Survivors include his daughters: Tami (Dan) Edmunds of Duluth and Jamie (John) Ceglar of Woodbury; grandchildren: Gwen LaPole and Allegra, Mya and Evan Ceglar; sister: Mary (Fran) Strukel of Biwabik; companion, Jean and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Ann Marie.
