Funeral service for Louise L. Holcomb, 87, of Palo, will be 10:30am Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Palo with Pastor Eric Thiele officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date in the Rauha Cemetery in Palo. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Louise died Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Northern Pines in Aurora, MN. She was born September 11, 1930 in Swift, Minnesota to Chester and Ethel (Ball) Fuller. She attended school in Swift and worked on the family farm. On July 21, 1946 she married Raymond Holcomb in Canada. In 1947 they moved to Mesabi Location, later to Hoyt Lakes and finally on the farm in Palo. Louise worked for Salmi Homes in Palo as a personal care attendant for over 20 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, and its women’s fellowship. She especially enjoyed tending to her large gardens every summer. Survivors include her children: Dale (Joyce) of Eveleth, Thomas (Sharon) of Lakeland, William (Susan) of Buckeye, AZ, Robert (Sandy) of Hibbing, Tracy Larsen of Eveleth and Raeann Holcomb of Palo; special daughter: Lori Hedin of Aurora; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Ruby and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Ethel; husband, Raymond; daughter, Jennie Niska; siblings: Ida, Pearl, Beryl, Evelyn, Esther, Cleo, Hazel, Clarence, Alton, William, Ralph and Donald.
