Funeral Mass for Lorie Banker, 54, of Apple Valley, will be 10:30am Monday, March 26, 2018 at Our Lady of Hope Parish in Aurora with Fr. Peter Lambert as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the mass at church on Monday. Burial will be at a later date in the Rauha Cemetery in Palo. Lorie died peacefully Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at her home in Apple Valley, Minnesota. She was born December 15, 1963 in Ashland, Wisconsin to Harold and Bernice (Carbon) Mattson. Lorie was a 1982 graduate of Horace Mann High School in Biwabik. Later, she attended Anoka-Hennepin Community College and enrolled in its medical records program where she earned her degree. She worked in medical records at United Hospital and later was a certified tumor registrar at Abbott Northwestern Hospital. Lorie enjoyed shopping at antique and thrift shops. She attended country music fests and concerts, especially Gary Allen concerts. Lori especially enjoyed motorcycling and her cats. Survivors include her mother, Bernice Mattson of Palo; sisters: Susan (Steve) Blake of Aurora and Julie Warren of SanFrancisco, CA; fiance’, Patrick Savage of Red Wing; nieces and nephews: Leah (mike) Henry, Brad (Katie) Blake, Evan and Ashlyn Mattson; great nieces, great nephews many friends and her cat, Bea. She is preceded in death by her father, Harold and her brother, Michael and her cat, Buddy.
