Funeral Service for Nadine H. Pederson, 83, of Hoyt Lakes, will be 11am Friday April 16, 2010 in Faith Lutheran Church in Hoyt Lakes with Rev. Donna Olsen officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the Hoyt Lakes Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora. Mrs. Pederson died Fri. Apr. 9, 2010 in St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. She was born Apr. 14, 1926 in Rice Lake, WI to Gerald and Ivy (Grilley) Gotham. Nadine was a 1943 graduate of Chetek High School. She worked for Abbott's Dairy in Cameron, WI and while working there, she met her future husband. Nadine and Russell were married on Oct. 11, 1947 in Cameron, Wisconsin. In 1954 they moved to Hoyt Lakes and were considered one of the original "mudders." Nadine was a homemaker and an active volunteer at White Community Hospital, Faith Lutheran Church and Head Start. She enjoyed playing bridge, a good game of golf and was known to attend several DFL caucuses. Survivors include her husband: Russell; daughters: Vicky (Tom) Michels, Randine (Curtis) Carlson and Brenda (Mike Jensen) Pederson all of Hoyt Lakes; grandchildren: Stacy, Connor, Jenell, Aaron, Brian, Bradley, Justin and Tyler; eight great grandchildren; sisters: Gloria Morley and Colleen Makela; several nieces and nephews also survive She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Patricia
