Theodore Burton

Theodore "Ted" Burton Theodore "Ted" Burton, age 86, of Aurora, died Sunday June 20, 2010 at his residence. Ted was born April 6, 1924 in Canada the son of Frederick and Myrtle (Leigh) Burton. On Nov. 11, 1951 Ted was united in marriage with Marion Bjork. The couple had lived in Colorado and Wisconsin before moving to Aurora. Ted worked as a mechanic for Erie Mining until his retirement in 1986. He enjoyed traveling with thier motor home, time at the cabin on Birch Lake, fishing and cutting wood. Ted loved to be outdoors and working around his house and cabin. He will be remembered for his kind and generous ways. He was always more concerned for others rather than for himself. Survivors include his wife Marion; son Ted Burton Jr. of Aurora; daughter Patricia (William) Warren of Aurora; grandchildren Sheila Burton, Andrew Warren, Travis (Amanda) Warren, Bryan (Samantha) Warren; great grandchildren Thea Burton, Noah Warren, Marley Warren; brother Donald (Joyce) Burton of Canada; sister Pearl Torgerson of Stillwater. Ted is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Kenneth Burton, Grant Burton; sisters Nena Hoeprech, Vivian Tittle, Evelynn Lucas. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Friday, June 25, at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora with the Rev. Derrick DeTurk officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora.
