Judith Lerol

Funeral Mass for Judith Jacqueline Lerol, 75, of Lakeland, will be 11am Monday June 28, 2010 in St. John's Catholic Church in Biwabik with Fr. Steven Daigle as celebrant. Visitation will be Sunday from 4-6pm in Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert and continue for one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the Gilbert Cemetery. Mrs. Lerol died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in the Virginia Regional Medical Center. She was born Aug. 3, 1934 in Goodrich, MN to Anton and Mary (Bacilek) Horachek. Judy attended Goodrich High School and worked on the family farm. On Dec. 26, 1953 she married Kenneth Lerol. In 1957 they moved to Hoyt Lakes where she was a homemaker and during that time worked for US Steel as a custodian. Later, she was a home health care aid and in 1968 they made their home in Lakeland. Judy enjoyed flower gardening, fishing, knitting, playing cards and picking blueberries. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Biwabik. Survivors include her sons: Steven (Wanda) of Lakeland, Kevin (Gail) of Lakeland and Curtis (Teresa) of Lake Vermilion; 10 Grandchildren; Three great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Kenneth; siblings: Ann, Lydia, Mary "Polly", Karen, Mary in infancy, George, Anton, Joseph and Donald.
