Laura L. Trunzo

Memorial Mass for Laura Louise Trunzo, 64, of Gilbert, will be 11am Wednesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Gilbert with Fr. Charles Flynn and Fr. Frank Perkovich celebrating the mass. Visitation will be one hour prior to the mass at church. Inurnment will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Aurora. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. Laura died Aug. 5, 2010 at Heritage Manor in Chisholm, MN. She was born March 8, 1946 in Biwabik, MN to Paul and Lila (Maki) Fontecchio. Laura was a graduate of Aurora High School and later received her beautician's license from Red Carpet Beauty School in Minneapolis. She married Gerald Trunzo on July 27, 1968 in Aurora, MN. Laura owned and operated Laura's Beauty Boutique in her home in Gilbert for over 20 years. She returned to school and earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the Eveleth Vo-Tech. She worked as an LPN at Heritage Manor for the past 16 years. Survivors include her husband: Gerald of Gilbert; daughter: Janelle Marie Trunzo of Gilbert; brother: Richard (Elaine) Fontecchio of Hoyt Lakes; grandson: Ryan Maijala of Minneapolis; mother-in-law: Julie Trunzo of Gilbert; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends, Sharron and Ken Asselin of Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law: Anthony Trunzo.
