Robert L. Bicking

Funeral service for Robert L. "Bob" Bicking, 50, of Eveleth, will be 1pm Thursday in Heritage Trail Bible Church in McKinley. Pastors Michael Wefel and Michael Maki will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday (today) from 5-7pm at Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. There will be no visitation prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Rauha Cemetery in White Township. Bob died unexpectedly Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. He was born Feb. 24, 1960 in Virginia, MN to Raymond and Agnes (Prelesnik) Bicking. Bob graduated from Cherry High School in 1978 and later attended Eveleth Vo-Tech for automotive repair. On Nov. 14, 1998 he married Connie Lahti. Currently he owned and operated Fun Time Rental in Gilbert where he was affectionately known as Fun Time Bob. Survivors include his wife: Connie; children: Daniel J. Bicking of Virginia, Kristen A. Bicking of Eveleth, Kara L. Bicking of Eveleth, Nathan K. Garland of Eveleth and Daniel S. Garland; grandson: Damen Garland; siblings: David (Pam) Bicking of Aurora, CO, Roger (Linda) Bicking of Denver, CO, Barb (John) Rautanen of Gilbert and Diane (Mike) Barkela of Big Lake, MN; several nephews and a nieces also survive He was preceded in death by his parents.
