Alan Ross Sheppard

Memorial service for Alan Ross Sheppard, 38, of Duluth will be 11 am Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert with Pastor David Aho officiating.  Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service.  Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia at a later date.

Alan died Thursday, June 8, 2023 at his home in Duluth.

He was born on February 27, 1985 to David and Sharon (Walli) Sheppard.  Alan grew up in Mt. Iron and attended the Virginia High School, having graduated from the Class of 2004.  He was a talented artist in the medium of drawing and painting.  He practiced an apprenticeship in tattoo art.  Alan will be remembered as a kind, loving and generous person.

Survivors include his daughter: Sophia; sister, Beth (Jim) Newman; brother, Tim Sheppard; nephews: Jacob, Andrew and Myles Sheppard; niece, Rebecca Sheppard; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends,

He was preceded in death by his parents: David and Sharon; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
