Albert Oman

Albert Oman, 85, of Palo, died peacefully at Essentia Health – Northern Pines Care Center in Aurora, MN on August 12, 2024. 

Albert was born July 27, 1938, in Duluth, to Axel & Adeline Oman of Brimson.

Albert started his work career with the DMIR Telephone and stayed with them through being bought out and name changes, until his retirement. He was a lineman, installer, and repair man.

June 28, 1958, he married Doris Nori of Palo who passed away May 24, 2017.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, woodworking, projects with his boys and being with family & friends.

Survivors include daughter, Carrie {Marty}; sons, Scott, Kevin (Michelle) and Keith all of Palo. Grandchildren Lisa, Kelly, Matthew, and Kristopher.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris; his parents, Axel & Adeline; brothers Alex, Arthur, Arvid & Edward; sisters Ina, Ailie, Anna & Alma; and grandson Michael.

A Celebration of Life open house will be held August 17, 2024 from 1:00pm-4:00pm in Palo at the home of his son, Kevin Oman.. Arrangements by Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Aurora.
