Alice Johnson

Funeral service will be held for Alice Irene Johnson, age 85, on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbert Community Methodist Church with Pastor Mary Lou Sixberry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Gilbert Cemetery in Gilbert.  Arrangements are by the Ziemer-Moeglein-Shatava Funeral Home in Gilbert. 

Alice passed away on July 2, 2022 at the Apple Valley Village Health Care Center in Apple Valley. She was born on August 25, 1936 to Henry and Tillie Nelson in Badger, Minnesota. She married Clarence Johnson in May 1956, and moved to Gilbert where they raised two children, Karen and David. She worked for several years in nursing.  She was a homemaker, dog lover, and in her older years, an avid reader. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.       

Alice is survived by her daughter; Karen Johnson, son; David (Carmen) Johnson, granddaughters; Kierstin and Kourtney Johnson, Tara (John) Peterson, and great grandchildren; Ace and Zoey Peterson.               

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Clarence.  She will be deeply missed.
